Simon Hefty has been with Litin Paper for the past four years and is passionate about the eco-friendly products he introduces to his customers. He enjoys meeting new people, the problem-solving aspect of providing better solutions for his clients, and knowing he is making a difference for a greener planet.

Simon enjoys relaxing with his wife Lindsey, watching NFL football, golfing whenever possible, seeing a great movie, and taking walks with his one year old puppy, Winnie. He earned his BA in Business Management from the University of St. Thomas, and his personal work philosophy is "Work Hard, Play Hard."

Simon is committed to the successful launch of Litin Eco and he looks forward to working with more organizations who want to partner to make the world a better place.

Litin Paper Company official green & earth friendly concepts are located in Minneapolis Minnesota. Upper Midwest's top distributor of commercial earth friendly paper supplies, bubblewrap, kraft, green products, ecological biodegradeable, and compostable food services.

The goal of Minnesota Waste Wise is to enable the greatest number of businesses; large and small, to reduce waste voluntarily. As a member, you are helping Minnesotans realize that goal.

The Minnesota Waste Wise Guidebook will help achieve your goals. As an easy-to-use manual, the Guidebook is designed to be a comprehensive resource for information and how-to assistance. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will conduct seminars at various times and locations throughout the state to enhance your program and introduce you to those companies in your area that have also accepted the Minnesota Waste Wise challenge.

Afritrex took place back in 2008, was my first expedition and proved to be a roaring success.

I’ve decided to keep this website running as it serves as an archive of the entire, crazy, bloody-brilliant adventure through one of my favourite continents on Planet Earth.

Not only did I complete all 5 marathons and climb all 5 mountains, but I raised £25,000 ($45,000 Aus) for my three charities AND brought back the Colonel in one piece to the UK.

Since then I’ve moved across to Australia and the Colonel came with me.

Welcome to Afritrex - A privately funded charity endurance challenge of marathons, mountains and more; documenting the encounters, obstacles and achievements of 12 months of hard fundraising and charity work across Africa.

Whilst circumnavigating the African Continent I will complete the following challenges:

To complete five marathons of at least 26 miles
To climb five of the highest mountains in Africa
To visit as many of the sites across Africa where the Victoria Cross has been won as possible (VC180 Challenge)

My name is Ben Southall and for the last decade I’ve travelled extensively throughout Southern Africa taking on projects and expeditions to test my abilities and discover exciting new areas of the African continent, whilst in the UK I take part in fitness and endurance events to raise money for charity and thought it was about time I combined the two fields to create my own fundraising expedition from with others could benefit.

So was born Afritrex: the logistical equivalent of one man trying to build spaghetti junction using Taiwanese instructions and a broken shovel.

The idea was simple: take one continent; attempt to circumnavigate it and whilst doing so try and stay fit enough to complete a number of endurance challenges to raise money for my chosen charities and whilst doing so post it all on the internet!

This is set to be the most challenging, exciting and exhausting year of my life, can I really do it?
